Baked Spareribs With Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 rack pork spare ribs
  • to-taste salt
  • to-taste black pepper; ground fresh
  • 1 cup(s) ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon(s) ginger; fresh, grated
  • 4 teaspoon(s) butter
  • 2 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic clove(s); minced
  • 2 tablespoon(s) honey
  • 1 teaspoon(s) coriander; ground

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Bring a large kettle of water to a boil and add the rack of spareribs. Parboil about 2 min., then drain. Pat dry with paper towels.

Place the spareribs on the rack in a roasting pan, meaty side up. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in the oven and bake 30 minutes or until nicely browned.

Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Brush the spareribs with the sauce and bake 15 minutes longer. Turn the spareribs and brush with the sauce. Bake 10-15 minutes longer. Cut into 1- or 2-rib pieces. Serve with the remaining sauce.
