Mom's Best Barbeque Sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter
- 2 medium onion(s); sliced
- 3 garlic clove(s); minced
- 1/4 cup(s) vegetable oil
- 2 cup(s) ketchup
- 1/3 cup(s) cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup(s) lemon juice
- 1/4 cup(s) worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup(s) corn syrup, dark
- 1 tablespoon(s) dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon(s) lemon zest
- 1/2 cup(s) sugar
- 1 tablespoon(s) horseradish
- 2 teaspoon(s) cumin; ground
- 3 tablespoon(s) chili powder
- 3 tablespoon(s) hot sauce
- 1 to-taste salt
In a large sauce pan, melt butter and saute onion and garlic for about five minutes. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.
