Mom's Best Barbeque Sauce

    • 2 tablespoon(s) butter
    • 2 medium onion(s); sliced
    • 3 garlic clove(s); minced
    • 1/4 cup(s) vegetable oil
    • 2 cup(s) ketchup
    • 1/3 cup(s) cider vinegar
    • 1/3 cup(s) lemon juice
    • 1/4 cup(s) worcestershire sauce
    • 1/3 cup(s) corn syrup, dark
    • 1 tablespoon(s) dijon mustard
    • 1 teaspoon(s) lemon zest
    • 1/2 cup(s) sugar
    • 1 tablespoon(s) horseradish
    • 2 teaspoon(s) cumin; ground
    • 3 tablespoon(s) chili powder
    • 3 tablespoon(s) hot sauce
    • 1 to-taste salt

    In a large sauce pan, melt butter and saute onion and garlic for about five minutes. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.
